The living changelog of YIMBY+ — platform news, model releases, building-data changes and record merges.

New in YIMBY+

The pre-development fabric, New YorkFeatureAug 31

The New York timelapse now starts from the low-rise fabric that stood before today's buildings: thousands of generated infill blocks fill each lot from 1875 and step aside exactly when their real replacement arrives. They are scenery with a lifespan, not tracked buildings, so they never appear in counts, cards, or model updates.

City versions and model changesImprovementsAug 26

Step back through whole releases of the 3D city and see which models were added or updated in each one, with before-and-after views of updated buildings.

Building updates, right in the 3D cityFeatureAug 26

A new panel in the 3D city lists what changed in each release: added and updated buildings with thumbnails, a before-and-after view for updated models, and a light-up mode that highlights the changes on the skyline. A New badge on the city toggle and a dot in the sidebar show when a release landed since your last visit.

The What's New feedImprovementsAug 3

A single place to follow changes across YIMBY+: new and updated project data, record merges and deep links to every project involved. Platform news like this entry lands here too, in a running product-updates log, so you always know what shipped.

Accessibility and polish improvementsImprovementsAug 2

A round of refinements across the product: clearer labels for screen readers, more consistent keyboard focus, and dozens of small visual fixes.

Cleaner project dataImprovementsAug 1

Duplicate project and company records are now found and merged automatically, so search results and project pages stay clean as new coverage lands.

3D context on project pagesImprovementsJul 23

Better Chicago and Miami experiencesFeatureJul 22

Changes are recorded as the data pipeline and city releases run — dates are the change's own (for platform updates, the day the change went live; for city releases, the day the release was published), not the render time.
